Software Developer Web Applications (m/f/d)

To reinforce our software development department for complex technical applications, we are looking for Software Developer Web Applications (m/f/d).

What does our product portfolio look like?

Our best-known product is Spaix® – a selection and configuration solution for centrifugal pumps. In addition, we run the impeller.net internet portal. Further components include a calculation software for friction loss as well as solutions for mixers, valves and fittings.

Our products can run locally or via network installation on computers, or as web application in a browser. They are also available as web service.

What are your responsibilities?

You will help develop the new generation of our well-established product lines. You will have the chance to support the new product generation from the very beginning, starting with architecture, through development, up to the market launch, ensuring that thousands of users in Europe and worldwide enjoy using your product.

Besides the software development itself, your responsibilities will include the documentation of your work and the occasional assistance to our support team as part of the second level support.

What skills should you have?

We focus on Windows platforms and prefer .NET (C#) and Delphi. For web solutions, we use HTML/CSS/JS libraries and frameworks. We love SQL Server but also use NoSQL technologies where it makes sense.

A working knowledge about advanced programming topics such as writing and debugging multithread code, general software security aspects, implementing and using remote services and APIs, cloud and container technologies, internationalization and being able to develop efficient, clean software designs would be a great addition.

Our customer base is worldwide, and so are your future colleagues. Fluent written and spoken English language skills are thus essential.

Although not strictly a “must have”, due to the technical field our customers are dealing with, a certain level of insight into mechanical engineering topics helps to understand specific pump industry related business aspects of our software solutions.

Who are we looking for?

Matching our interesting and broad field of activity, you are (ideally) a full-stack developer. Furthermore, you have acquired a solid knowledge in selected areas and technologies you are particularly interested in.

Ideally, you have a degree in computer science, engineering or natural science and have a good technical understanding.

To develop sophisticated and high-quality software solutions, a broad variety of skills is required. Of course, you do not have to cover the whole range, but you should be able to enrich our team with quite a few of the skills below – the more the better!

  • Windows-based GUI applications
  • Programming and design of web-based applications
  • Theoretical understanding and practical experience with database technologies
  • Interprocess communication, multithreading, COM
  • Cross-platform / cross-language development
  • Software Security by Design, Secure coding

What do we offer in exchange?

  • A modern workplace with adequate salary
  • An independent work area with autonomous project implementation
  • An interesting and versatile job with international character
  • A pleasant working atmosphere in a motivated team; lived open-door policy
  • Full-time employment with flexible working time management
  • Employer-financed company pension scheme as well as capital-forming benefits
  • Regular team building events such as company celebrations and summer parties
  • Offers for professional and personal development; latest subject-specific reading
  • Free hot drinks and water along with fresh fruit
