To support our software development department in the  realization of complex technical applications we are looking for Software Developer Web-Application (m/f/d), Software Developer Desktop-Application (m/f/d) or Software Developer Backend/Server-Application (m/f/d).

What does our product portfolio look like?
Our best-known product is Spaix® – a sizing and configuration solution for centrifugal pumps. In addition, we run the online pump magazine Further components include a calculation software for friction loss as well as solutions for mixers, valves and fittings. Our products run local and via network installation on computers, as web application in the browser and are available as web service.

What are your responsibilities?

You will help to develop the new generation of our proven product line. You have the chance to support the new product generation right from the start, beginning with its architecture, continuing with the development up to its market introduction, ensuring that thousands of users in Europe and worldwide are using your product. Besides the software development itself, your responsibilities include the documentation of your work as well as occasionally assisting our support team as part of the second level support.

Who are we looking for?

Matching our wide and interesting activities, you are (ideally) a full-stack developer with an (preferably) extensive basic knowledge. Furthermore, you have acquired a solid and reliable practicable know-how in a few special areas and technologies you are particularly interested in.

If you are a first-time employee you are welcome as well. Our experienced colleagues are here to assist and advise you. Our library and the broad selection of current developer magazines are at your disposal as well.

No matter if expert or young professional you are well informed when it comes to the latest developments in the IT area. You stay up-to-date with the latest and proven technologies, frameworks, tools and paradigms, you are curious and always well informed. You use these skills to improve our products, optimize algorithms, modernize architecture and to automate recurring processes.

It is an advantage if you have a technical understanding concerning mechanical engineering.

Which programming languages do we use?

Good question! At one point it is necessary to encode our great solutions in a programming language. We prefer C# and Delphi, in web environments of course HTML/CSS/JS. Additionally we use several libraries and frameworks, databases and other helpful tools.

Nevertheless, you can and should apply if you are able to use C++, Java, PHP or another imperative programming language and if you are eager to learn something new. Don’t worry, we will sort it out!

Speaking of language: We speak in English or German with our customers. Fluent language skills in English and German are essential.

Which skills and degrees should you have?

Ideally, you have a computer science, engineering or science degree and a good technical understanding.

To develop demanding and high-quality software solutions a broad variety of skills is required. Of course, you do not need to match all requirements but you should be able to support us with at least one of the skills below – if you match more of the requirements that’s even better.

Spaix 5 Mobile: Mobile Application Completes the Spaix 5 Product Family

After the release of Spaix 5 Version 2019 in March, VSX VOGEL SOFTWARE now launches the new smartphone app for the technical selection and configuration of centrifugal pumps. The application is the perfect complement to the Spaix 5 main programs and is available for mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems.
