VSX Gets Allianz Certificate for Social Responsibility Towards Employees

Last week VSX – VOGEL SOFTWARE received the official confirmation for the implementation of a measure to promote social responsibility. The document was handed over to VSX Managing Director Matthias Siegel by Mr. Jens Röwekamp, insurance expert at Allianz Beratungs- und Vertriebs-AG. “We are delighted to receive this award, as it reflects our company’s commitment to our employees and their professional and personal development,” said Matthias Siegel. In addition to the company pension scheme, VSX offers many other benefits to its employees.

Conditions

The company has set up the following company pension scheme for its employees, the benefits of which can contribute to the fulfillment of social factors:

  • Group contract with Allianz in the area of company pension provision
  • at least 50% of the workforce benefit
  • the pension scheme is either 100% financed by the company or, in the case of mixed-financing models, the employer contribution is at least equal to the amount of deferred compensation

The confirmation is based on the following examination:
In cooperation with the University of Bayreuth, concern GmbH has examined on behalf of Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG and Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG whether the benefits of the company pension scheme set up can make a contribution to the social factors.

The subject of the audit is a company pension plan that fulfills the aforementioned requirements. The result is recorded in an expert opinion.

There is currently no uniform definition of the term ‘social responsibility’. The European Union is currently working on a framework for social taxonomy. The exact timetable and the concrete design of this taxonomy are still open. Allianz has decided to promote the topic of social responsibility today and has taken the initiative “Social responsibility and occupational pensions”.

The review has shown that the company pension scheme is a measure that can support the following social factors:

  • Equal opportunities
  • Job security
  • Social security
  • Employee rights
